Sometimes what other people say stick to our minds, specially when they are inspiring and one hell of a line! We are sometimes busy living life, licking our wounds, rejoicing our in victories, celebrating in love…often forgetting to formulate that immortalizing quip or quote that moves people and motivates for goodness to be spread. Having said this, makes me wonder why writing has come easy to me and is now my source of bread and butter-maybe when i am gone someone will quote me.

There are quotes that have figured much in my life…

1 " All I know time is a valuable thing watch it fly by as the pendulum swings watch it countdown to the end of the day…the clock ticks life away" -Linkin Park

This quote from a Linkin Park song has been a picker upper for me in days that I'd like to wallow in self pity. It says to better use time for better things.

2 "Behavior is what a man does, not what he thinks, feels, or believes."
~ Emily Dickinson

This was often quoted by a relative, more to instill guilt and remorse over the younger generation for being too care-free. Simply put actions do speak louder than words!

A modern take on Emily Dickens, which I am guilty of inflicting on my children is the one from Batman Begins…Its something we've watched together so they can easily remember. Knowing and doing ain't the same.

3 "What I am underneath does not define me…it's what i do…"

The last quote is from Spiderman's uncle, 4 "With great power comes great responsibility". This is rather heavy and something I use to remind me that all have their roles in life, the results of how we rule ourselves is a reflection of how we respect our power to choose the right.
