Books revival…

News about encyclopedias being reprinted and sold are the best news to a book reader. The value of reading is never recognized especially in countries where technology plays a big part in daily activities. Talking to a Book Adviser for an encyclopedia company, convincing parents the value of reading is harder than getting a child to be interested in the samples they have brought.

This April, I have relocated for the 3rd time with the kids, we took just the basics, leaving most of our books in every place we've left.. We always knew we'd be able to make a new stash anyway. Not able to buy a book yet, I tried borrowing a book from any kind neighbor. One neighbor obliged by giving me access to her encyclopedia and schoolbooks (she's a teacher)…One obliged by lending love story books…another neighbor lent me a book they forgot return to someone… Sadly, the only people I was ever able to borrow from had books out of necessity, fell out of love with reading or was a spur of the moment reader.

It dawned on to me that curling up to a good book was not a pleasure people took. From that time on, i vowed to join in the book revival here and give meaningful book gifts for neighbors kids and adults alike.
